Kennett River

Kennett River is 170 km south west of Melbourne and approximately 35 min from Lorne. It lies about 5 km after Wye River when driving from Lorne. Kennett River has beautiful walking tracks, many Koalas in the trees all around the town as well as being a paradise for varied birds and other wildlife.

Kennett River is a popular swimming and surfing beach. The town is small and quiet with a general store / café called Koala Cove Café. Known as just "Kennett" to the locals this is a very relaxing place for a quiet getaway.

There is a lovely walking track along the Kennett River up through the valley. Its starts near the Café and Dogs are allowed on leash.
